The Inspect function creates a PDF document containing information about the images of the source PDF document such as:

  • Preview of the image.
  • Size of the image.
  • Size of the image box.
  • Resolution of the image.
  • Image type.

Extract: The Extract function creates a PDF document that only contains the images from the source PDF document. Export: The Export function exports the images from the source PDF document as Adobe Photoshop files. Render: The Render function uses the render method of the Adobe Acrobat application to get the images from the source PDF document. The images are saved either as Macintosh Pictures or in the corresponding format when using one of the QuickTime Image Exporters of Mac OS. Render PDF: The Render PDF function combines the Render Pages function and the Import function and converts the original PDF document into a image based PDF with one step.

The Render PDF function uses the render method of the Adobe Acrobat application to get the images from the source PDF document. The images are collected in a new PDF document. Render Pages: The Render Pages function uses the render method of the Adobe Acrobat application to render views of the pages of the source PDF document as images. The images are saved either as Macintosh Pictures or in the corresponding format when using one of the QuickTime Image Exporters of Mac OS. Render Selection: The Render Selection function uses the render method of the Adobe Acrobat application to render the current graphics selection of the front document as image. The image is saved either as Macintosh Picture or in the corresponding format when using one of the QuickTime Image Exporters of Mac OS. Import Images: The Import function searches a folder or volume (optionally with sub folders), collecting the images in a new PDF document. Since the QuickTime Importers of Mac OS are used, all or optionally selected import formats of QuickTime are available.
